This is the 1st hole on the Fountains Course at the Garland Resort in Lewiston, Michigan. This picture was taken on September 3rd, 2009 and shows the re-design of the hole to improve playablilty and reduce unecessary maintainence. Six trees were removed along the fairway as well as one sand trap. Another fairway bunker was redesigned as well as the bunker behind the green. In talking to the Golf Course Architect, more improvements are coming.

This is Garland Resort located in Lewiston, Michigan and was taken on August 13th, 2009. The resort was recently purchased and the new owner is now beginning many renovations to the properties. This is a view of the Grand Lodge after several trees were taken out in front of it to offer a more dynamic view of the Lodge. More updates to follow.

Garland's annual Member/ Member tournament. Early finishers are gathered under the scoreboard tent after finishing a round of golf during the two-day event. The theme this year was "Crazy Pants".
"The Big House" in Ann Arbor, Michigan, home of the University of Michigan Wolverines, is currently undergoing major renovations that will be completed in 2010. There will be luxury suites, an expanded press box, improved access and seating for the disabled and seating for 110,000+ fans to enjoy football on game days. This view is along the East side of the Stadium with Crisler Arena to the left. This panoramic was taken on May 20th, 2009.
The University of Michigan Stadium. This picture was taken from the platform just below the scoreboard in the south end zone and was taken just as people were entering the stadium two hours before the game. Estimates placed the crowd at over 50,000 to watch the annual Spring Game and included an Alumni flag football game beforehand and also a tour of the locker room.
I ventured back to The Conservatory at Dow Gardens in Midland, Michigan on a cold and sunny winter day in February of 2009. The warm temperatures and humid air inside the building that is necessary to sustain all of the plant life was not very conducive to my camera equipment and lenses. It was at least a 45 minute to one hour wait while my equipment got acclimated and my lenses became fog-free.

The Garden's "Butterflies in Bloom" event takes place every year in early March as butterflies are brought to life from their chrysalis and free to fly within the climate controlled area. It's a great learning experience for young and old as you get to observe them as they land on you shoulder or hold them gently in your hand. This is such a beautiful and tranquil park and is open year round.
Bronner's Christmas Wonderland - Frankenmuth, Michigan. A display of their Nutcrackers of various sizes from all around the world.
This is a Panoramic of Lake Fenton, an all sports lake located in Fenton, Michigan. The picture was taken on the eastern shore of the lake showing some early morning activity. If you zoom in on the right side of the pano, you will see that I was able to capture a chocolate lab jumping off of the dock to retrieve a ball for it's owner.
